The British Red Cross Society is the United Kingdom body of the worldwide neutral and impartial humanitarian network the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement.
The society was formed in 1870, and is a registered charity with more than 32,500 volunteers and 3,500 staff. At the heart of their work is providing help to people in crisis, both in the UK and overseas and they are committed to helping people without discrimination
The Red Cross approached us with a tight deadline to provide them with some radios so that they could safely run an event. We were delighted to be able to provide them with what they needed at short notice and allow the event to go ahead.
We received some great feedback and testimonials recently when we supported the Red Cross with their radio needs:
“Hi Paul,
Just thought I would drop you a quick email about our recent hire from you. Despite me contacting you with less than a week before we needed the kit, you managed to come up with a Repeater and Digital Radios for us at a very reasonable rate.
This set up gave us and the event organisers the best comms set up than at any other event they had done this year. Even when at one point we lost a radio in the water, very muddy water, the following day on of the guys had his diving kit with him and retrieved the radio for us. After letting it dry out for an hour or so, we managed to put a new battery in it and it worked as normal.
So once again you have helped us shine on our duties and prove that we put as much passion into our radio comms as we do into the first aid we provide!
Kind regards,
Lee Johnson
